This experience has been extremely disappointing. When it comes to my dog’s medications and care, I need a veterinary office that takes responsibility when things go wrong, addresses problems at their source, and follows through on the commitments they make. Unfortunately, based on this experience, this is not an organization I will trust with my dog’s care going forward. I chose this veterinary office specifically because they committed to a streamlined process for obtaining my dog’s prescribed medications and assured me they would price match medications. This was especially important given the amount of medication my elderly dog requires. I was assured there was a straightforward process in place to make this easy and convenient. Unfortunately, after multiple problems and repeated communication with the office, they chose to change their policy and stop price matching rather than address the underlying issues and properly train or hold staff accountable for the repeated problems. What is particularly frustrating is that they seem to blame the difficulties on complications with price matching, when there were actually numerous problems with simply getting the correct medications in a timely manner. In one instance, I had to make four separate trips to the office just to get the medication situation resolved. What is also disappointing is the apparent lack of accountability for these repeated staff and process failures. Rather than addressing why incorrect medications were being provided, why communication repeatedly broke down, and why it took multiple attempts to get the medications I was prescribed, the office ultimately changed its policy and attributed the problems to "price matching". After acknowledging the repeated problems, changing the policy instead of correcting the underlying issues and honoring the commitment they made feels a lot like the old “bait-and-switch” tactic—make the commitment to earn the business, then change the terms after you have the customer.

We had an excellent experience with Dr. Longo and everyone at The Ranch Veterinary Hospital. We live in North Denver, and our regular veterinarian recommended The Ranch specifically because of their ability to perform a laparoscopic gastropexy. We ultimately had Dr. Longo perform both our dog Gus’s (15 month old Bernedoodle) laparoscopic gastropexy and neuter at the same time, and we couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. From our initial communication through the surgery and recovery, Dr. Longo and the staff were incredibly thorough, kind, and caring. Dr. Longo personally responded to our emails and provided detailed answers to all of our questions, which gave us a lot of confidence going into the procedures. The staff was also extremely friendly and communicative, and the facility itself was clean and welcoming. They even allowed us to use our regular veterinarian so we could have Gus’s pre-surgery bloodwork done closer to home. When we picked Gus up just after their normal operating hours, Dr. Longo stayed late to speak with us personally and explained in detail that both surgeries had gone very well. They also sent us home with a cone and medications to help with his pain and keep him comfortable and calm during recovery. We also felt the pricing was very reasonable given the level of specialized care and expertise involved, and we felt we received excellent value for the overall experience. Gus is now on day 9 post-surgery and doing very well. His incisions are healing nicely, and we have been very happy with his recovery and the outcome of both procedures. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Longo and The Ranch Veterinary Hospital to any pet owner, especially anyone looking for a veterinary team with strong surgical expertise. We are extremely happy with the care Gus received and with the entire process from beginning to end.

The Ranch does an excellent job in communicating with families about their dogs, has the friendliest staff, the atmosphere is so warm and welcoming, and they truly care for their patients. I am so thrilled to have them care for our dog! We had major dental work done on our dog and The Ranch did an amazing job in communicating expectations, cost, updates during the procedure, took their time explaining after care, and truly treat her like family. This vet is definitely a gem!!
